Hey, here is the story behind this site’s creation.

I have spent all my life in IT, specialising on networking and security so basically routers, switches and firewalls. September of this year I was made redundant which was a huge shock to the system I’m in my mid 50s and I’m thinking how am I going to get another job. I had my resume professionally done, got some tips on applying for jobs and trained up on interview techniques through a transition programme from my ex employer. I thought I was in a fairly good space to be able to pick up a job relatively easily. Three months down the track I’ve lost of how many jobs of applied for … unsuccessfully.

I’ve even been expanding my reach to get some other roles as well which includes lower skilled. Again no luck there – I have not even got to an interview stage!

So, the main the reason for this website which is that I have a strong interest and a passion for Generative AI, and in the last three months I have spent time upskilling on AI. If I do it properly I can build up a brand (and continuously learn and keep up to date in AI), companies will come to me. Companies ask for experience but in my many years as a leader/manager I have found ATTITUDE to be valuable, and in many cases more valuable than experience.

At the time of writing, there is not too much on this website but I am working on adding quality not quantity. So please subscribe and I’m sure you will get something out of it as there is more content added to the site.
